Expression of Interest

Superposition is partnering with MTNS MADE on an open call to present at our inaugural festival: events, exhibitions, gigs, markets, talks and gatherings produced by you – folks based in and around the Mountains.

Expression of Interest

MTNS MADE at Superposition sits within the festival program as its own curated strand of independently produced and locally driven projects.

Selected events will be featured in the official program and promoted across our networks and channels to local, national and international audiences across the festival weekend, 26 to 29 November 2026.

We're particularly interested in existing events that are ready to welcome audiences from the Mountains and beyond.

We strongly encourage applications for guided bushwalks, gigs, exhibitions, markets, talks, bird watching, workshops or events suitable for families and children.

About Superposition

Superposition is a new arts and culture festival conceived for the Blue Mountains. We take our name and thinking from three ideas:

  • quantum physics, where multiple states exist simultaneously until observed;

  • geological stratigraphy, where layers of rock hold the deep history of a place;

  • wave superposition, where energies meet and interact, changing them forever.

This is your invitation to look at a familiar landscape differently. We want to know what's been here all along, what's happening right now, and what might be possible together in future.

What we're looking for

MTNS MADE at Superposition is open to events happening across the Blue Mountains villages over the festival weekend - produced by artists, collectives, organisations and community groups based here.

We want events that engage with the Mountains: its landscapes and built environments, its deep history and its possible futures, and the communities across the villages who make this place what it is.

We're open to ideas - visual art exhibitions, live music, guided walks, performance, dinners, markets, talks and panels, kids and family events, late nights.

We're interested in things that could only happen here.

This is not a grant or commission. MTNS MADE at Superposition does not provide financial support, but we do offer context, audience and amplification - your event as part of the first edition of something new. You are in creative control and keep all associated revenue!

EOIs are open to MTNS MADE members and Blue Mountains-based artists, venues and organisations. This is the first edition of the festival, and as such will only be able to offer a limited number of curated event spots to ensure they’re well-supported and successful. The festival will be every two years, and we’d love to chat about future editions with you.

EOIs close Fri 5 June and are assessed as we receive them up to deadline.
